Parking up at the summit of the Trough of Bowland 6 of us set off down the road to Trough barn and followed the path over the hill to Brennand Farm, we went uphill to a tarn where we stopped off for elevenses, then climbed steep uphill to Whitendale Hanging stones which Godfrey informed us that it is the centre point of the UK!! carrying onto White Crag we were amazed and puzzled by hundreds of Gulls flying around and we think nesting too. After stopping off for our well earned lunch, we then made our way back to the cars via Wolfhole Crag/Brennand Great Hill/Millers House and Brennend Tarn, We all enjoyed brilliant views all day which made up for sinking through bogs and treading over clumps of heather. Thanks Godfrey.
