We had a great group turned up for Allan’s walk up Whernside, meeting at Ribblehead we set off under the famous viaduct and made our way up the steeper end of Whernside which turned out to be the best way as it was very muddy and slippery and going up was far safer than coming down! the weather wasn’t very nice, very cold and Misty but didn’t stop us reaching the top! we made our way off the windy summit and found a bit of shelter lower down for our lunch break then made steady progress back to our cars. Good to be back out and about again, thanks Allan.
