Stainforth 5th May

A group of six members assembled in the car park at Stainforth on a lovely sunny day. The walk took us up past Little Stainforth and on to Feizor.  Veering right we walked through Wharfe and Oxenber woods looking for bluebells (which turned out to be in short supply as they were only just emerging). The fabulous display of primroses was ample compensation. We then followed on back towards Feizor and walked along Giggleswick Scars. After lunch we continued down towards Langliffe and back through the fields to Stainforth. Distance walked was around 9 Miles and max height 1,048ft ascended. A lovely walk in beautiful Spring sunshine. Many thanks Marj.
