On a beautiful summers evening a group of us set off from the car park in the lovely old village of Slaidburn and headed up past the Doctors Surgery and wandered through the woods then crossing over the back road we ventured uphill past Pain Hill Farm and followed footpaths through fields to Newton, admiring beautiful views of the countryside on our way, once in Newton in walked down the road to the bridge where we climbed over the stile and followed the river back to Slaidburn, stopping off at The Hark to Bounty for a pint or two. Thanks Annie.
