Six of us started our walk in Sedburgh on a beautiful clear frosty morning, we walked along footpaths passing through farmland to the bottom of Cautley Spout and in one of the fields we walked through we saw something I’ve never seen on a walk before, 2 Emus or Ostriches!!! (none of us could decide which they were) after a steep climb up Cautley Spout we arrived at the trig point on The Calf with fantastic views all around, after a well earned lunch stop we walked on to Winder, there were lots of people out walking today probably making the most of the sunshine, from here we meandered down into Sedburgh, thanks Godfrey for a great day out.
