A group of nine members set off from GR 972265 near Hebden Bridge and took the the Pennine Way up past Callis Wood towards Stoodley Pike.

This is where we are going!

Continuing  along the Pennine Way to Withens Gate the group turned west to meet the Pennine Bridleway near Mankinholes which eventually led back to Hebden Bridge.

The devastation caused by the recent flooding was very obvious and the walk back along the canal towpath back to the car park was marred by the realisation that the expected visit to the pub was not going to happen as the pub too had been flooded!
