On a lovely sunny morning 10 of us set off from Grindleton and walked up the hill passing White Hall onto Simshey Hill, after leaving there we walked up through the dense forest to the pile of stones known as The Wife, we headed back through the forest and stopped off on Shivering Ginnel Track for our lunch stop, now refreshed we carried onto Beacon Hill where we had fantastic clear 360 degree views all round, we then headed down back to Grindleton on several footpaths, some difficult to find!!! we all finished the day off with a pint at the Brown Cow in Chatburn. thanks Bern.
