From the car park in the village of Fence we walked over Noggarth and upto the village of Newchurch where we found some benches to sit and have our elevenses, from there we headed through the woods via Thorny Bank, Hollin Top and Blacko foot where we enjoyed our lunch stop sat by the river in sunshine, now refreshed we carried on down the river to where the two rivers meet at Barrowford and from there we rejoined the Noggarth Ridge back to the car park. We did stop off on Noggarth Road to visit a Quirky cafe that amused us all with its strange wood carvings and kind of recycled shed with shower screen for the door!!but they served very reasonable food and drinks. Thanks Micheal.
