A perfect Derbyshire day, 22 May 2016
Frank, Phil and Sue were rewarded with brilliant sunshine and panoramic views of the Derbyshire edges. At Highlow Brook we encouraged a group of DoE youngsters from Essex , one of whom was limping badly, to carry on to their destination.
Sue couldn’t drag Frank and Phil past the David Mellor (posh cutlery designer) café at Hathersage where the coffee was fab and we then headed to Hathersage Moor, adding in an ascent of Higger Tor and Carl Wark to the planned walk. Padley Gorge was stunning and then the walkers’ café at Grindleford beckoned us. Well hydrated we returned to Eyam by Froggatt Edge and the Riley Graves.
